This is my new project, the Love Gloves. Not quite finished as you can tell! What I’m planning on doing for these gloves is fingerless, with a flip over shell type of deal (which I haven’t made yet). There is a little heart in the plam. The glove is really dark gray, but almost looks black because I can only use my phone’s camera right now… haha. They have been pretty easy to make, sorta quick. But I have had a hard time guessing what the guage is (because I’m not using recommended needle size). So it’s been an… adventure? But they are still turning out really cute! I can’t wait till they’re finished. (By that time, it won’t be cold enough for gloves, haha). I’m hoping they will be successful enough I can sell the pattern from ravelry.

This scarf was made for one my best friends, Kalyn. (Kay-Lyn) This scarf is really easy to make if you know how to cable! With the Lion Brand Landscapes yarn, this makes a very pretty knitted scarf. Would require about 3 skeins to make. I used the colour Rose Garden. The yarn I used for Kalyn’s scarf was Lion Brand Jiffy Thick and Quick, but that tends to make a tighter guage. Anyways, hope you enjoy :) I made the chart myself so I’m sorry it’s not the best lol.

Size needles: 11 US
Yarn: Lion Brand Landscapes
Color: Rose Garden
Balls required: 3

Stitch dictionary:
Ribbing – right side knit 1, purl 1, wrong side purl the k’s and knit the p’s
K – knit
P – Purl
Left cable – slide 3 stitches on to cable needle, hold in front, knit 3, knit 3 off cable needle.
Right cable – slide 3 stitches onto cable needle, hold in back, knit 3, knit 3 off cable needle

Pattern starts here!
CO 16 stitches
Rows1-15: K1, P1 ribbed stitch
Row 16: start cabled pattern, see chart (start from bottom right)

Repeat chart 27 times (will use about 3 balls) or till desired length.
Rib 15 rows again
Cast off in rib stitch

These are pretty simple mittens I made up. I need to do the second one, and go over my pattern a little bit to make sure it’s right. The band and the buttons come undone, so the wrist can be adjusted depending on where you place the buttons.

Cast on 40 stitches.
Row 1 Start in ribbed form. (Knit one, Purl one) Start with K, end in P.
Row 2 Start with K, ends in P. Knit the knits, and purl the purls.
Row 3 Continue in the ribbed stitch

Palm of hand.
Row 1 Work in Stockinet stitch for the length of your palm. Start with a knit row.
Row 2 Purl across
Row 3 Knit across

Repeat till the work is the length of your palm, end on a knit row. Keep track of how many rows you’ve knitted to keep the other glove even.

Start of wrist.
Row 1 K9, K2Tog, K8, K2Tog, K9, K2tog, K8 (37 sts)
Row 2 Purl across
Row 3 K2tog, K to last two stitches, K2tog (35 sts)

Arm. (going up your arm, after end of hand)
Row 1 work in St st for desired length.

Eyelet Row (For ribbon–skip if not desired)
Row 1 K3, YO, K2tog, {K4, YO, K2tog} 4 times, K3, YO, K2tog, K1
Row 2 start up ribbing again. Start with K. End in K.
Row 3 Start with P, end with P.
Row 4 start with K, end with K.
Row 5 cast off.

Cut off end tail long. Sew up work on edge until where your thumb would be. Leave about an inch gap (or as big as your thumb is), and then continue sewing up the work. Eyelet row is made to put in ribbon, but you can leave it empty if you please.
Repeat for second glove!

Fingerless Cabled Hand Warmers

I made these gloves for my grandma. They are pretty simple to make. Hope you enjoy, comment if you have any questions.

Materials:
8 US (5 mm) sized needle
Cable Needle
Medium weight yarn (4) that uses size 8 needles
Used in picture: Caron Simply Soft Paints

Stitch Key:
K – knit
P – purl
6-st LC – slide three stitches to a cable needle, hold in front, knit three, knit three from cable needle
6-st RC — slide three stitches to a cable needle, hold to back, knit three, knit three from cable needle
k2tog – knit two together

Decrease Rows
